Advanced reservations through your State required for tour
In order to tour the White House, you need to first contact your Senator or House Representative's office at least a month ahead of time. If "approved" (not really that big of a deal) you will receive a confirmation number with a date and time of your tour. All tours are done in the morning, beginning at 7:30 am. Still call the White House the day of your tour. Certain events will close it to tours unexpectantly.
