If you plan on doing a lot of laundry, ask for a room on the second floor. The laundry room (2 washers, 2 dryers; $2 to wash and $2 to dry) is located next to room 213. Unfortunately, it is located directly opposite from the elevator, so you need to walk around the entire Embassy Suites balcony hallway to get to it and back. The stairs cuts this down a bit, assuming you are located on a nearby floor near that side of the building.

We like the pool view rooms at this property because they overlook a nice pool area with a small pond and trees beyond it. However, if you pay extra for this view, make sure you request a higher floor. We recently had a room on the third floor that, although still viewed the pool, looked over an ugly roof covering the first floor outdoor restaurant area. It really took away from the view! Ask for the fourth floor or higher. We had a top floor room once and don't remember seeing this roof at all.

Once you check in, park your car to the right of the main entrance, around the side of the building where they park the shuttle. Most park to the left, and walk through the main entrance. However, there is a door on the right side of the building that you can open with your room key. It leads into the building right to the elevator doors without having to walk through the lobby.

This hotel has a great, free happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 where you can get free drinks and munchies (don't forget to tip!) We were surprised to find even a rotating selection of hot appetizers available each day. However, earlier in the day we noticed a group of guys told by management that they couldn't drink their outside beers at the pool. So, just an FYI. They will confront you hoping you will buy from the bar. But, why not wait until 5:30 anyway?
